🌱 Green Fingers: Local Community Gardens
With the weather warming up, it is the perfect time to get outdoors and help our local green spaces thrive. Whether you are a seasoned horticulturist or just looking to enjoy some fresh air, these community groups would love your help.
* **St. Mildred’s Community Garden:** The team is currently working on installing new flower beds and planting pumpkins for the harvest . All volunteers are welcome to join **every Tuesday at 2:00 pm**, with the entrance located on Sefton Road .
* **Friends of Ashburton Park Gardening Group:** Drop by between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm on the **last Sunday of the month** Tasks are available for all abilities, and there is absolutely no commitment or prior experience needed . Message 'Friends of Ashburton Park' on Facebook or Instagram with any questions .
**Addiscombe Recreation Ground Volunteer Gardeners:** Help maintain the local flower beds or donate your spare flowers and shrubs . They meet anytime between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm on selected weekends throughout the summer, with the next session coming up on **Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May** .
